My name is Sgt Brandon Cassady and I have been employed with the Newport Police Department for 8 years and this is my second year as the SRO of Newport Grammar School. Prior to working at NPD, I spent 5 years in the Marine Corps as an F-18 Avionics Technician in VMFA (AW)-225 at MCAS Miramar in San Diego, CA. During my Marine Corps service, I deployed to Iraq in 2007-2008 and to Japan/Korea/Malaysia in 2009. Also, I hold Bachelor's Degrees in Criminal Justice (2016) & History (2021) and a Master's Degree in History (2023) from Liberty University.
