About Mrs. Myers

I am so happy to be a part of the NGS Family.  I am married with two children and a dog.  We enjoy spending time together going on picnics, watching movies, and going out for ice cream!  I have been teaching 8th grade English Language Arts for many years.  My philosophy in education is "Love kids... and Teach kids!"  I want all students to work hard and prepare for lifelong learning.  I strive to create an environment where all students can be successful.

The Diary of Anne Frank

 

We will be researching and reading The Diary of Anne Frank, a drama by Albert Hackett and Frances Goodrich. 

 

Students will be focusing on characters, relationships, motivations, dramatic irony, and suspense.

Summer Reading 2024:  Upcoming 8th Graders

Choose TWO BOOKS from the lists below. (If you have another book you would like to read, please email me for approval before reading.  I will need the title, author, and what interests you about the book.)  For each selection, complete one of the attached options. (Options are attached to the Google Classroom assignment.  If you do not have access to Google Classroom, please email me.  I will email a copy to you.) Students should be prepared to take an AR test and answer oral questions about your selected books.
